This trip began at the Moose viewing pullout directly across the highway from the entrance to the Martin trail, about 8km east of Tabor ski hill. We crossed the highway and skied west for 2 1/2 km along the highway, then turned left onto the East Touring trail and then skied east for about 1 km till we hit the woodlot road. We then headed right (south) and up the old woodlot road to the viewpoint (about 3 km). After lunch we skied back down to the East Touring trail where we turned right until we hit the Martin trail, then left and back to Highway 16. This is about a 12 km ski and the views from the top are very nice.
